Lanie McCarry
Growing up in Northern Michigan, Lanie discovered a love for theatre after deciding on a whim to join the Boyne City High School theatre program her freshmen year. Having a natural talent for dance, she soon began assisting in choreography her Sophomore year, continuing to choreograph through her high school career and for two years after graduation.
After high school she performed with Dancers Without Boarders, and other local events and festivals.
Lanie is also a talented professional illustrator and painter, receiving a BFA in Illustration at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University. Lanie's grandfather was a talented oil painter who always encouraged her to pursue her art and inspired her daily. She has created murals around her home town, logos for growing businesses, as well as beer labels for local breweries. Lanie loves to paint oil portraits of animals and people, she also enjoys creating funny comics about her experiences.
Lanie is a member of our Board and performed in our production of Alcina, and is excited for the next opportunity to perform. She is also involved in the local dance community; her favorite styles of dance are jazz and tap.
